Als mittelständisches Unternehmen betrachten wir Nachhaltigkeit als einen zentralen Bestandteil unserer Geschäftspraktiken. Bei der TUPAG sehen wir uns in der Verantwortung, einen positiven Beitrag für Gesellschaft und Umwelt zu leisten.

  • Our understanding of sustainability is based on the ESG concept. “Environment” stands for the environment, “Social” for social responsibility and “Governance” for corporate management.
  • As a guideline for our lived responsibility, we developed a comprehensive sustainability strategy in 2022 and identified the sustainability topics that are essential to us. These include climate protection, the preservation of biodiversity, soil health, and water and plant protection.
  • Zum Ziel des Klimaschutzes kann insbesondere die Kompetenz der Baumschulen Oberdorla GmbH, als Tochterunternehmen des TUPAG-Konzerns, einen wichtigen Beitrag leisten.
  • This contribution lies in the production of resilient tree species for the forest of the future that can cope with the challenges of climate change.
  • Als Ergebnis von über 20 Jahren Forschungsarbeit mit Projektpartnern wie der Humboldt-Universität in Berlin und dem Staatsbetrieb Sachsenforst haben die Baumschulen Oberdorla GmbH ein Verfahren entwickelt, um eine besonders kräftige, wuchsstarke und klimastabilere Hybrid-Lärche in-vitro zu produzieren.

In 1713, von Carlowitz wrote his Sylvicultura oeconomica in Freiberg and focused intensively on reforestation and sustainable use due to deforested woodlands, aiming to secure the wood supply for mining and smelting industries. Even 300 years ago, economic and ecological aspects were interconnected, and profit and sustainability were not contradictory. He was the first to coin the term "sustainability".
